This beautifully detailed card illustrates a popular vintage Halloween superstition: a young woman in a flowing powder-blue gown gazing intently into a hand mirror to see her future husband's reflection. She rests alongside a vibrant, glowing Jack-O'-Lantern while a curious owl perches on the mirror frame.
The front features a charming romantic rhyme: "If in the mirror your lover is seen, You'll surely be happy on Hallowe'en!"
The reverse shows an unposted, divided back style with beautiful stylized typography reading "Postcard". A lovely addition for serious collectors of holiday ephemera, antique postcards, or classic Halloween décor!
