An exquisite and rare complete coffee serving set by Gustavsberg Sweden and designed by Stig Lindberg circa 1950. The set consists of the coffee pot with lid, open creamer and sugar, as well as, four cups and saucers. Atrue to form midcentury modern set with straight lines and smooth texture, cast and glazed white all over, the small coffee-pot of flared cone shape with wide loop handle, the handleless cream jug with raised flange opposite the spout to to provide a grip. A lovely antique cup and saucer set by the Dutch ceramics maker Societe Ceramique Maestricht in Holland. The cup is chocolate (brown) transferware images of a couple sitting for tea as titled "The Tea Drinker" and another image of the man as a sheep herder with various floral and block images surrounding both the cup and saucer.$149.00

A beautiful mold blown, high relief hand painted cup and saucer set with an attached branch style handle, showing a mythological scene of a chariot carrying a man in a colored toga being pulled by swans in the water while a nymph appears sprawled on the waves as cherubs run along the side and back, possibly a Neptune Poseidon scene. The saucer shows different colored medallions along the entire border. A wonderfully executed Italian porcelain set. Does have a surface glaze type crack on rim original to the making, occurred during firing, priced accordingly in mint condition would fetch upwards of $350. Bargain priced due to the small imperfection.
