A wonderful and rare Goebel half doll stylized after Marie Antoinette, Goebel produced a series of dolls after famous historic women and this is a wonderful rendering of Miss. Antoinette. She is wearing the famous silver curls with the plume feather in her hair, she wears a cobalt painted blue bodice with large flowing white ruffled sleeves and plunging neckline, the top even has raised enamel beading. Bottom flange is flat with 4 sew holes and she holds a closed fan in her outstretched hands. Wonderful detail was given to this line. She is marked on back with the Goebel insignia, further stamped "Bavaria" on flange and hand painted with the the artists initials on the interior of flange.$234.00

A beautiful and rare porcelain half doll produced by Dressel Kister executed in the manor of a French 1700s woman and made for the French market. She has her arms fully outstretched as in a middle of a dance pose, she has the unmistakable combed hair method first used and nearly exclusively done by Kister. She has very delicate and intricate hand painted features and the large colored plume in her hair. This doll is fashioned on a large pincushion with a plume gown.
