A gorgeous Baccarat Miniature Rose Tiente Oil Lamp, of very high quality French glass. The lamp has a square glass base with the Rosette Swirl pattern. Many of Baccarat's pieces incorporated the swirl, but this particular swirl pattern is a bit more rare as it appears as a sunburst type of circle.
The color shades from dark oxblood red to a clear glass and has often been called Baccarats Amberina, though they referred to as Rose Tiente. The bottom of the font is ground and polished, it is not marked but if it had an acid etched mark it may have been polished off over the last 150 years.
Circa 1850-1880.
Measures 8" tall
adjuster marked "R.r. BEC ROND Parisien."
Excellent Overall, no damage to glass. The wick area has some age wear and rust spots, very minute.
