A beautiful Steuben Verre De Soie art glass vase by Frederick Carder circa 1930. The vase has a ruffle flared top with a pinched center and bulbous bottom, polished pontil and is illustrated as mold form 369 in the Steuben book.

A lovely Victorian Art Glass Pomona pitcher with a square mouth executed in the inverted thumbprint pattern this vessel is decorated at the rim in an amber stain as well as the applied smooth glass handle. The finish is a smooth satin suggesting this is "Midwestern" style Pomona.
Pomona glass was patented by Joseph Locke at the New England Glass Co. beginning in 1885, soon following a Midwestern glass company began creating glass very similar to the Pomona glass of New England but instead of the frosted finish they produced a satin finish.
