$1,249.00
A wonderful and finely executed biscuit porcelain statue hand painted and in exceptional condition of a man standing with his dog. The bisque sculpture is what we believe to be Old Paris French in origin, maker unknown but marked on the bottom, the man stands on a painted base dressed in Roman garb with raised gold beading, his greyhound dog stands at his side. Fabulous quality with great detail.
Circa 1830-1900
Impressed mark on base with an Impressed Br to the side, mark is unrecognizable but possibly and early Jean Gille or similar Old Paris porcelain company, many foundries developed in France in the 1800's but did not last, this could be a product of one of those as such many of these pieces are often referred to as simply 'Old Paris' Figures
