KPM Porcelain PLAQUE Vestal Virgin Lady with Lamp 7 1/2" Tall

KPM Porcelain Plaque Vestal Virgin Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin

An absolutely beautiful and very well executed, painting on porcelain oval plaque of the Vestal Virgin after Angelica Kauffman, late 19th to early 20th century (1885-1915).

The plaque is in oval form and measures 7.5" tall by 5.5" wide, marked on the reverse with an impressed "K" over a "1".

The plaque is not marked "KPM" but many early porcelain plaques were simply marked with a number and single letter.
The size is accurate for KPM, as is the impressive detail to the hand painted image.

This image has been done in both full view (like this one) and simple head shots, other Berlin manufacturers lack the beauty and detail that can be seen in this plaque, another indication that it is indeed KPM.

Excellent Condition, no chips or cracks, marks on the reverse from an old frame.
