🔮Halloween Postcard Apple Bobbers🔮
🎃 DESCRIPTION
Celebrate holiday nostalgia with this authentic antique 1909 Halloween postcard published by M.W. Taggart. Titled "The Joys of Halloween," this beautiful Golden Age piece captures the playful traditions of over a century ago.
The vibrant color lithograph scene illustrates three children excitedly bobbing for apples in a classic wooden tub. Outside the window, a bat flits beneath a crescent moon while a carved, smiling jack-o'-lantern anchors the foreground. The design is framed by an intricate, heavy apple-and-leaf border enriched with radiant gold embossed highlights.
The reverse side reveals a divided back with a legible Detroit, Michigan postmark from November 5, 1909, a green one-cent U.S. postage stamp featuring Benjamin Franklin, and a handwritten message addressed to Taunton, Massachusetts. A wonderful and highly collectible example of early 20th-century seasonal ephemera!
