French Faience Sceaux Snuff Box Hand Painted Enamel Green Church Scene Trinket Jar

Wonderful early French Faience miniature hinged box marked with the "SX" for Sceaux France and "Made in France" on bottom. The snuff box or trinket jar is decorated with green enamel, hand painted scene of a church with flying birds and landscape on the top, the edges are decorated with flowers and leaves. Box lid closes on a hinged top, there is also a writing mark on the interior edge of the lid on the inside, possibly artist marks.


Measures 2.75" (7cm) Long, approx. 1.50" (3.8cm) Tall

No chips, cracks, or repairs, very minimal wear to decoration with very minimal crazing mostly at rim area
