This lovely antique chocolate pot has the white raised beading (moriage) over the skillfully hand painted delicate, pink and purple flowers. The flowers are drawn nestled in their green leaves. It has a reddish brown trim line between the florals and the base of the pot. The inside of the pot is white porcelain. The pot is scalloped and embossed with gold trim on the handle and top rim & spout.
DIMENSIONS: The chocolate pot is 6 fluted with a diameter of 5" with the spout to handle measurement being 6 1/4" and a height of 9 1/4" to the top of the lid. The measurement to the tip of the spout is 7 5/8".
MARKS: Nippon China TE-OH which Joan Van Patten's ABC's of Collecting Nippon Porcelain cited as mark #7 which was used in the 1891-1918 time period.
CONDITION: Overall Very Good Condition. There is a craquelure to the glaze just on the bottom and a couple of surface nicks to the interior lid, both minor issues are photographed and in no way detract from the loveliness or display
