The reverse is a divided back featuring an intricate, circular publisher's hallmark enclosing a crown and a lion above the series number 116. This card holds wonderful historical character, bearing a crisp, clear postmark from Mifflinburg, PA, dated October 21, 1915. The handwritten message is a warm, personal note written in pencil from one sibling to another ("Dear Bro. We will be down on Sunday if it is nice and nothing happens..."), referencing an early family trip down in an "automobile."
