A lovely Royal Vienna porcelain dresser box, vanity jar in cobalt blue with a wonderful scene of mythological creatures probably meant to be Cupid and Persephone with a smaller cupid baby and another maiden on the grass, background scene shows a colorful forest and flowers. Colors are bright and beautiful with the jar having gold stenciling to both top and bottom.
Circa late 19th century to turn of century 1890-1905
Marked: Blue Underglaze beehive mark, roman numerals and serial numbers in green, with additional letters indicating decorator and/or scene, interior of top and bottom are both marked with the number three in roman numerals indicating both to be a match
Measures Approximately 5.50" Diameter x 2.75" Tall
Condition:
Minimal wear, NO chips, cracks, or repairs, slight wear to gold enamel stenciling on edge of top consistent with age and normal light handling
