Rare German Porcelain Half-Doll "Elegant Lady in Pastels" by Dressel & Kister

A beautiful waist-up porcelain half-doll with elegantly-turned head, slender face and elongated throat, grey hair drawn into chignon at the back of head decorated by long ruffled streamers, sculpted blouse with scalloped collar trimmed with suggestion of painted lace, purple and pink lacing, with extended arms and separately-sculpted fingers. Marks: blue bishop's staff stamp, Dressel Kister. Measures 5" (13 cm). Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1910, rare model with most unusual and distinctive costume and hair ribbons.
