Rare Armand Marseille Character Doll 700 Painted Eyes Series

A beautiful and rare Armand Marseille character doll marked #700 4/0, she has a bisque socket head with blue painted eyes,painted short brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast pouting lips, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. She has a mid century replacement wig and wears a replacement vintage blue dress.
A rare model, part of the Marseille painted eyes series, very few were produced and few are known to still exist, having a wonderful wistful expression,deeply impressed dimples at lip corners and chin,fine quality of bisque, she is reminiscent of the Kammer & Rienhardt 117 model.

Condition:
Doll is in overall Very Good to Excellent Condition. Head is free of hairlines, cracks, chips, or any damage. Hand Painted features are all intact with no wear to paint. Body is in excellent antique condition with only a little wear around neck and some very light scattered scuffing throughout. Body paint appears all original not repainted, fingers and toes are all intact. Hair is a mid century replacement wig clothes are also a vintage redress.

All Dolls are packaged with greatest care, bisque heads are stuffed for safe travel, doll will be wrapped and tripled layered, placed in reinforced cardboard box for shipping.
