German Porcelain Bisque Garden Cherubs Pair Putti Hand Painted Pushing Wheelbarrows with Moving Wheels Volkstedt Thuringia

A lovely pair of bisque porcelain cherub putti gardeners each pushing wheelbarrows decorated with grapes and leaves, produced by Volkstedt, both are hand painted in natural tones with the wheels actually moving as they are pushed. A wonderful turn of the century figurine set!


Marked on bottom with "Y" in blue underglaze with each foot having a double digit number impressed, Volkstedt Thuringia Produced by Triebner Ens & Eckert, Volkstedt Circa 1877-1894

Measures: 5 1/4" Long, 5" Tall, 3 1/2" Wide


Condition: Some minor issues to note:
Each cherub has small surface chips to a foot, one wheelbarrow has a chip to a leaf, both wheelbarrows have one small fissure inside (original to making) Otherwise Very Good. Last image shows all issues.
