Rare Goebel Half Doll Marie Antoinette Holding Fan 5"

A wonderful and rare Goebel half doll stylized after Marie Antoinette, Goebel produced a series of dolls after famous historic women and this is a wonderful rendering of Miss. Antoinette. She is wearing the famous silver curls with the plume feather in her hair, she wears a cobalt painted blue bodice with large flowing white ruffled sleeves and plunging neckline, the top even has raised enamel beading. Bottom flange is flat with 4 sew holes and she holds a closed fan in her outstretched hands. Wonderful detail was given to this line. She is marked on back with the Goebel insignia, further stamped "Bavaria" on flange and hand painted with the the artists initials on the interior of flange.
Please note, she suffered a finger mishap in the making, the finger over her fan should extend out but is flat, it appears to be original to the making as it has a glaze over the area. We have priced her accordingly for the the issue and reduced her otherwise selling value more than $100 below standard price, still a magnificent addition to any collection even with her small imperfection!

These dolls were produced in the 4" to 7" range, this lovely rendition stands "5 T

Condition: Overall Excellent, Please Acknowledge Factory Error on hand with finger. Notice the hand holding the fan, tip of her finger should be extended. This looks like a break in the mold during production as it is glazed over. Otherwise Fine with no chips, cracks or repairs.
