Victorian Brown Cloth Handbag Purse with Ornate Floral Embossed Openwork Metal Frame & Silk Interior

A lovely early Rayon fabric handbag purse in chocolate brown with a wonderful embossed cast metal openwork floral frame. The purse has its original teal colored silk interior and dates from the late 1800s to early 1900s. Rayon was first created in 1891 and became known as artificial silk. A lovely bag with an exceptionally detailed frame that really sets it off!

Condition: some wear to the handle, the interior is torn and needs to be replaced, and some wear to frame, purse has been reattached to frame in a couple of areas, all original antique condition.
