Mt Washington Pairpoint Shaker Tomato Style Opaque Art Glass Pansy Floral Decoration

A fabulous Mt. Washington Glass Company salt shaker in "tomato" shape, circa 1888. This particular mold is sometimes also referred to as "melon" form.
The lovely white, 6 lobed shaker is hand painted with pansy flowers in violets, yellows, oranges, and maroon with leaves in shades of green.
The shaker has a hammered metal lid that is loose from the piece.

This shaker measures 1.75 inches high and has a 2.5 inch diameter.

The shaker is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The top where the lid rests has some wear to the interior but no cracks. There is a faded line that extends the circumference of the shaker, original to the making.
