An absolutely fabulous and very rare find here!
We have what was once a very popular turn of century Lotto game piece titled "La Visite A La Reine" with a number "6" at the top and seven large numbers in the middle, referred to as Loto boards.
The piece is a chromo lithograph artist signed "G. Serre" bottom right corner. The entire board is a comical illustration of a scene in Africa with surrounding animals and palm trees, the center images show what appear to be cannibals and men tied up to poles awaiting to be the next "meal".
French in origin, Circa mid to late 1800s
Measures Approx 10" long by 6.25" wide
Condition: No rips, tears, or repairs, very minimal wear with most around edges.
Would look just wonderful framed!
