Black Americana African Boy Holding Watermelon

Wonderful Black Americana turn of century bisque figurine of a young African American boy with a pink hat, barefoot in suspenders holding a watermelon that is open on the top to hold as a candy container or match holder. Nicely hand painted bisque marked with a hand written 22 on the bottom. Probably German possibly Heubach, very well executed with great hand painted features.

Measures 6 1/4"  from head to toe

Condition: No chips, cracks, or repairs, very minimal wear overall, some tiny spots of wear on top of hat
