$175.00
A rare and wonderful valentine card shaped like a chalkboard with polar bear in hat busting out of it to write a love note on the board. The bear's head is 3D type so when the card is hanging, as it appears its meant to do for display, the bear's head comes off the board and would bounce a little.
We have seen these in standard flat postcard form but can not find one in this size or 3D style even in the Tuck Database in England...it is very neat! Publisher is Raphael Tuck & Sons, Artist is Frances Brundage.
Measures: 8 1/2" Long by 6 1/2" Wide
Circa 1900-1915
Condition: VG. There is a crease to right side of "wood" frame at bottom and professional paper conservator's tape was used to protect it from further damage, there is a clipped corner top right. Otherwise Overall VG
