Doulton Burslem English Porcelain Center Bowl Hand Painted Rose Decor

A beautiful and amazing centerpiece bowl in oblong oval shape having a wonderful ribbed effect or fluted design, hand painted and decorated with multi-color roses of pink, red, purple, orange and yellow. Further applied gold trim and stenciling complete this rare piece of Doulton.

Doulton Burslem Back Stamp brown earlier mark with the coronation crown. This mark came into use c. 1886 to mark the appointment of Henry Doulton as 'Potter to H.R.H. The Prince of Wales' (later King Edward VI 1), ENGLAND was added underneath after 1891.
This mark continued in use until 1902. It appears to have been used specifically on bone china products and on the more expensive earthen wares.
