Sevres Ormolu French Porcelain Jewelry Casket Box

A wonderful early Sevres French Porcelain antique casket box with an enamel hand painted image of a young mother and her son seated on a river bank, she is fishing he is playing the flute. Floral panels surround the box in a multitude of colors with the interior lid and box also having painted flowers against a white porcelain ground. The box is set with metal bronze gold painted ormolu trim and fittings. Artist signed on top what we believe is "Geo Rocher" bottom marked with early Sevres mark.

Circa 1765 Sevres Double Crossed L's with a "M" in center indicating year of execution, S.... below, the Sevres mark, this is a museum authenticated mark, though not as commonly seen as the double L's or C's, bottom metal is also stamped "France"

Measures 8" L. 20.32 cm, 6" W. 15.24 cm, 4" T. 10.16, box weighs nearly 2 1/2 lbs, 1.08 kg

Condition:
No chips, cracks, or repairs,very minimal wear to decoration, bronze fittings are darkened with some patina normal for age, clasp and hinge are strong.
